Reflexology is science based on the premise that there are zones and reflex areas in the hands and feet associated with glands, organs, parts, and systems of the body.   The technique of applying pressure using fingers, thumbs, and hands to the reflex areas helps to reduce stress, thus causing physiological changes in the body.

Historically, reflexology dates back to Egyptian times, with a technique known as zone therapy. In the 1930's a Physical Therapist by the name of Eunice Ingham became intrigued by zone therapy and created the system we know as modern reflexology.
